In short
- A child's best interests come first in every product decision about data, visibility and contact.
- Grooming, exploitation, harassment and pressure to move off-platform are strictly prohibited.
- Reporting is available from profiles, content, comments, the Safety Centre and support.
- Serious concerns can lead to suspension, evidence preservation and reports to authorities.
Purpose
MyRhythm is designed for performers, including children and young people. This policy establishes the principles and commitments used to reduce abuse, exploitation, grooming, harassment and inappropriate contact through the Platform.
Best interests and safety
The best interests and safety of children are a primary consideration in product decisions involving child data, Content, visibility, discovery, communications and community participation.
Prohibited behaviour
Users must not:
- Groom a child, or seek exploitative images or video.
- Encourage secrecy from trusted adults.
- Solicit unnecessary private contact details.
- Pressure children off-platform for inappropriate purposes.
- Threaten or harass another person.
- Publish private information about another person.
- Distribute exploitative content involving a Minor.
- Otherwise facilitate exploitation or abuse.
Adult and professional users
Adjudicators, coaches, teachers, staff and other adults must maintain appropriate professional boundaries. Where direct communication features exist, MyRhythm uses proportionate controls to reduce unnecessary private contact between adults and Minors.
Reporting
Reporting is accessible from profiles, Content, comments and messages where available, the Safety Centre and support channels.
Concerns involving potential child exploitation or immediate risk receive enhanced handling.
Moderation
MyRhythm may use human and automated mechanisms to identify harmful Content, investigate reports, enforce rules, protect users and comply with law. Staff have only the access needed for their role.
Escalation
Where MyRhythm reasonably believes a child may face serious harm, exploitation or abuse, it may:
- Restrict or suspend accounts.
- Remove or quarantine Content.
- Preserve evidence.
- Contact a parent or guardian where appropriate.
- Seek safeguarding advice.
- Report to authorities where required or permitted by law.
Privacy
Safeguarding records are sensitive and are accessed only by authorised personnel. Reporter identities are not disclosed unnecessarily.
Training and accountability
People with access to Minor Content or safeguarding information receive appropriate training. Procedures cover intake, triage, escalation, evidence preservation, access control, investigation, closure and learning.
Child-friendly support
MyRhythm provides age-appropriate information on reporting, privacy help and involving a trusted adult.
Review
This policy is reviewed annually and after material changes to communications, discovery, Content sharing, AI or moderation, international expansion, or following a significant incident.
