In short

  • Only a parent, guardian or otherwise legally authorised adult may consent for a performer under 18.
  • Public publication and marketing use are separate, optional permissions β€” never bundled with the rest.
  • Review every recording before upload for anything that could reveal a home, school or another child.
  • Optional consent can be withdrawn at any time via info@myrhythm.io.
01

Your role

By providing consent for a Minor to use MyRhythm, you confirm that you are the parent, legal guardian or otherwise legally authorised person responsible for making this decision.

02

What may be processed

Depending on the services selected, the following may be processed:

  • Name and display name
  • Age or date of birth
  • Contact details
  • Photographs, videos and audio or voice recordings
  • Creative works
  • Event and competition information
  • Adjudication and feedback records
  • Technical and account information
03

Why it is needed

Information may be used to create and administer the account, provide performing arts services, store, stream and process performances, enable adjudication and coaching, operate events, maintain security and provide support.

04

Media and online publication

A performance video may identify your child through face, voice, body, clothing, background or other information. Review each recording before upload. Consider whether it reveals a home address, school, regular location, contact details or another child's information.

Once a video is legitimately visible, it may potentially be copied, screen-recorded, downloaded or redistributed. MyRhythm will use reasonable safeguards but cannot control independent third-party behaviour.

05

Separate permissions

Public and marketing permissions should be separately selected where optional.

  • Platform processing β€” permission to collect, store and process information reasonably necessary to provide the selected service.
  • Authorised platform sharing β€” permission for performances to be available to adjudicators, coaches or authorised participants where a feature requires that access.
  • Public publication β€” permission for the performance to be visible outside the authorised MyRhythm audience.
  • Marketing and promotional use β€” permission to use the child's image, voice, video or creative work for MyRhythm promotion such as website, social media, newsletters, presentations or advertising.
06

Responsibilities

You confirm that:

  • You have the required authority to give this consent.
  • The information provided is accurate.
  • You have read the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use.
  • You understand the online-media risks described above.
  • You have discussed relevant participation with the young performer in an age-appropriate manner.
07

Young performer assent

The young performer may be asked for age-appropriate assent. Assent does not replace legally required adult consent.

08

Withdrawal

You may withdraw optional consent or submit privacy requests via info@myrhythm.io. Withdrawal does not invalidate historical lawful processing and cannot guarantee removal of third-party copies.

09

Confirmation

By selecting the applicable consent options, you confirm your authority, your understanding of this Notice and the associated risks, and your understanding that optional public and marketing permissions are separate.
