In short

  • A video reveals far more than a name — review every recording before it is uploaded.
  • Public publication and marketing use are separate, optional permissions.
  • Any authorised viewer may still copy content; no online service can guarantee otherwise.
  • You can withdraw optional consent at any time via info@myrhythm.io.
01

What information might MyRhythm use?

Depending on how the Platform is used, this may include:

  • Name and performer name
  • Age
  • Contact details
  • Photographs, video and audio or voice recordings
  • Creative work
  • Event and competition information
  • Adjudication and feedback records
  • Technical account information
02

Why do you need it?

To create an account, store and process performances, enable adjudication and coaching, run events, and keep the Platform secure.

03

Videos are different from names

A video can show your child's face, voice, clothing, school uniform, surroundings or location clues. Review it before upload.

Avoid unnecessary addresses, school details, contact details and information about other children.

04

Who can see the performance?

Depending on the feature and the permissions you give: adjudicators and coaches, authorised community participants, or the public.

Public publication is a different level of exposure from submitting a performance for evaluation.

05

What if someone copies it?

An authorised viewer may potentially screen-record, screenshot, save or redistribute content. MyRhythm will use reasonable safeguards, but no online service can guarantee that an authorised viewer will never make an unauthorised copy.

06

Can I say no to public or marketing use?

Where optional, yes. MyRhythm separates platform operation, authorised sharing, public publication, and marketing or promotional use.

07

What is my responsibility?

You decide whether you are comfortable with the selected exposure, confirm your authority, provide accurate information, explain relevant risks to your child and supervise use appropriately. This does not remove MyRhythm's own legal duties.

08

What is MyRhythm's responsibility?

MyRhythm uses reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, provides privacy and request routes, and maintains child-safety measures. It cannot guarantee that third parties behave appropriately, or that copies outside MyRhythm can always be removed.

09

Can I change my mind?

You can withdraw optional consent or make privacy requests through info@myrhythm.io. Removal from MyRhythm does not guarantee recovery of third-party copies.

10

What should your child know?

Talk these points through together, in age-appropriate language:

  • Do not share private information with strangers.
  • Do not arrange private meetings without involving a trusted adult.
  • Report uncomfortable behaviour.
  • Do not upload another person's content without permission.
  • Remember that shared content may be copied.
